800-900 Yard Berm Update - The contractor is still waiting for it to be dry enough to do the earth work. Until the berms are built the Long Range Matches will continue as 3 matches at 1000 Yards. The range will be closed during the time they are working on the berms. An email notification will be sent and a notice will be posted on the WEB site to notify all shooters that the range is closed.
All matches - Please stay until the end of the match even if you have equipment problems and cannot shoot. If you leave early it disrupts match operations and causes problems for your fellow shooters. If you cannot stay until the end of the match do not enter the match without approval of the match director. Again it disrupts the match operation when you leave.
If you leave before the awards are distributed any awards you win will be donated to the club. You can designate someone to pick up your awards.
Bayou Rifles will host a LEG match on November 16th, 2008.

300/600 Yard Prone Matches - This year only 300 yard matches are scheduled for June-August.
F-Class - Changing rifles between matches is permitted. You will only have the number of sighters specified in the match program if you change rifles. Club/Range records can be set if you change rifles.
2008 RULE CHANGE - If you are 60 or over you may remain in position during the rapid fires. After the command "stand" is given and before the targets appear, the shooter: 1. Must leave the bolt open. 2. Cannot load. 3. Must leave the ammo on the ground or on the shooting stool. 4. Keep the rifle out of the shoulder. 5. Must not look through the spotting scope.
