How To Become a Member of Bayou Rifles, Inc.

First, you must attend an Orientation. You must be 18 year or older and be able to lawfully purchase and possess firearms. These are held from 1pm - 2pm on the normally the first Saturday of each month at the Juliff Range. See schedule below.

Fill out Application for Membership in Bayou Rifles, Inc. These forms will be available at the Orientation or from the website www.bayourifles.org. The membership application can be found by clicking the Membership Application here.
- You must read, agree to follow the current Range rules prior to attending orientation. You will be required to sign stating that you agree to follow the range rules.
- Submit initiation fee of $60 and membership fee of $12 per month for months remaining in the year (for the first year). Thereafter, annual dues of $140 are payable in January of each year. Please pay by personal check, money order or cash. Exact amounts can be found below.
- After the orientation, a criminal background check will be done on each prospective member. Membership is open to responsible individuals who may legally possess firearms.
- Membership applications along with background check information will be reviewed by Bayou Rifles, Inc. Board of Directors at the next monthly board meeting (usually on the second Monday evening of each month). The Board of Directors then votes on prospective members. Prospective members do not need to be present at the Board meeting.Membership cards are then mailed to those approved by the Board.
Directions to Bayou Rifles, Inc - Juliff Range
From Houston’s Loop 610 South, go south on Hwy 288. Cross over Beltway 8. Continue south and cross over Hwy 6. Go a few more miles to Brazoria County Road (CR) 57. Turn right (west) on CR57 and go about 2 miles to the Juliff range on north side of CR57.

Q1. Should I call or email before I show up?
A. No just show up at the meeting.
Q2. Do I send the application in before the meeting?
A. No just show up with your funds.

Q4. What do I need to bring to orientation?
A. Yourself and funds.
Q5. Can I purchase a spouse or dependent membership?
A. Yes Qualified dependents (spouse or children over 18 living at home) may receive their own membership card for $35 fee per year.
Q6. Can I bring guests to the range.
A. Yes, guest are welcome at the ranges with some restrictions (see Rule 01b).
Q7. Do I need to be a NRA or TSRA member?
A. No.
Q8. Do you allow 50 caliber or similar cartridges to be used at the range.
A. No there are caliber restrictions (see rules J8, A2)
